Sartomer, a business unit of Arkema Inc., and a global manufacturer of specialty acrylate and methacrylate monomers and oligomers, has announced that Timothy Cauffman has been named business director. In his new role, Cauffman is responsible for driving business and marketing activities within the company’s monomers and oligomers business. He will oversee the business managers as they work to deliver the high-performance, industry-leading products customers need to solve their toughest formulation challenges. He will report directly to Kenny Messer, regional group president of Sartomer Americas.

With 28 years of experience in the chemical industry – across several key markets – Cauffman has a long track record of product development and customer support. He joined Sartomer in 1991 as a senior applications chemist and later served customers as a market development manager, product manager, business director for the photocure Americas division and director of product portfolio and assets. Before working at Sartomer, Cauffman started his career as an applications chemist for Pennwalt Corporation.

Cauffman earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the Pennsylvania State University.
